The Team
Jackie Curtin - Founder of Care2Travel, vice director, foreign correspondent
I first came to Romania in 2008 as a volunteer myself. The beauty of the region yet the under-developed notion of volunteering led me to stay. After 3 years of establishing roots and finding a strong team, Care2Travel was born. I gained so much from my volunteering experiences but I was also able to give a lot back to the local community. It’s this exchange where maximum benefits are felt by all parties which drives the work of Care2Travel.
Péter Kedves - Director
I'm a local, born in this county and have traveled many countries and met many cultures to find that I can have such job which combines the meeting of new cultures and the settling down in my homeland at the same time.
My hobbies besides my work is cycling, playing basketball and basically anything that makes me sweat. Like challenges and like to achieve deserved success.
I love my home and I'll make sure that all our volunteers will get the necessary information and help to discover it by themselves and to help my local community the best way as they can.
Orsolya Bíró - Local volunteer manager, volunteer coordinator
Hi, I’m Orsi, volunteer coordinator at Care2Travel for more than 4 great years. As an avid traveler
myself, I understand the excitement and worries of discovering foreign places, so you can count on me to guide you on your journey of volunteering in our part of the world. I will help you in all the logistics of your trip and make sure that everything goes smooth. I love working with all the lovely people who come here and try to help making the most out of their time and have the best experience.
Kinga Kovács - Project writer
I have been the ESC project coordinator at Care2Travel for more than 1 year.
My tasks revolve around the European Solidarity Corps, including the cooperation with partners, keeping in touch with the National Agency and with the ESC volunteers during their activities, ensuring proper preparation and support upon their return.
I am a former ESC volunteer myself. I absolutely loved my volunteering and gained so much during the 10 months volunteering in Germany, so I decided to give back to my local community and to the foreign volunteers who choose to come to our little town. I would like to support volunteers to have the best experience of their lives through volunteering with us, as I had in Germany. I’m always happy to help volunteers as much as I can.
Nikoletta Fehér - Volunteer Accommodation Administrator
I was born & raised in Csíkszereda. I love meeting new people and getting to know about their cultures. I’m quite talkative so volunteers can always count on me to tell them all about my motherland. I love social gatherings & I’m always up for something fun. I’ll assure that our volunteers are taken care of & will enjoy their stay.
